The way I played this, I was asking for action - Player Muddy - Calling station, plays every single hand calls every raise untill river. - Other guy - Tight - No action from him yet, only plays with big hands, not hard to read. - The problem here was me being UTG - Any suggestions on how this should have been played?

I think its almost impossible to put the guy on 5-8. I would of lost all my money there as well... I really don't know many people who weren't. But man, he calls a pre-flop raise with gapped suited connector and then calls a raise on a gutshot straight draw with a flush draw out there...
buddy list him. immediately.

I think your flop bet is weak 6 bucks into a pot of 17.50. 2.7-1 to call almost 3-1. But you have top set and could re-draw to a boat.
The pot in the end is huge and 10 outs on the river to draw to most likley the imortal hand.
Here is a little chart this may seem noobish but it helps quite a bit.
