Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG with K Q
Hero raises to $1.75, 3 folds, SB calls, BB folds.

Flop: 6 2 Q ($4, 2 players)
SB bets $4, Hero calls.

Turn: 8 ($12, 2 players)
SB bets $12, Hero raises to $24, SB calls all-in $5.6.
Uncalled bets: $6.4 returned to Hero.

This seemed messy, but not sure how I could have played it better?

I think you sucked out on the river or were behind the whole time. try raising on the flop to $12 and fold to a push or a call and bet on turn

If you raise the flop he's probably going to push and you're going to fold what is in this case the best hand (villain had Ad5d.) If he calls you're pot committed (maybe with the exception of an Ace on the turn.) I'm not liking it.

Calling the flop and betting out on the turn sounds better. I'm still not sure though.

if you raised on the flop I think e would have called with his flush draw and if missed would have checked on the turn and river. or bet if the flush hit, giving you a chance to fold. and yes I would fold the all-in he would bet with.

Edit to my 1st post. looking at stacks I might have made it $10 on the re-raise.

I guess if the flush hit on the river I could definately get away from the hand, and if it hits on the turn it's an easy call holding the Kd myself. Thanks.
