Could he have noticed you pussing out in the first hand and then wanting to test you?

Hand 1:I call looking to flop a monster and take his stack.A punk bet is ok on the flop;once he raises I think you can fold safely.

Hand 2:I like a fold preflop here.CHeaper to find out if he has KK/AA now as opposed to on the flop.

Both of these hands are completely, and I mean completely, dependant upon the opponent. The correct play for one type of opponent here is the wrong play for another. What do you know about your opponents in these situations? Any stats? If not, I'd really suggest getting PokerAce HUD, itd help you miles in these situations.
BR now: $106900
Playing now: $10/10/20 - $20/40 NL live, $10/20 NL full ring online, $10/20 NL 6-max online, $20/40 FL 6-max online, $100/200 FL live
Goal: $125000 for $25/50 NL live

jackvance is an unknown quantity at this point
Yeah totally read dependant.

But you should normally call the first one. See if he keeps strong on the turn.. sometimes they just do it to test you a bit (like if he has KJ/QJ) and will wuss out on later streets.
