LeFou, because I buy-in as short stack. I have my reasons, but I don't really want to get into it.

La la la! I can't hear you!
I have my reasons for doing it. I'll change when I think it will work better for me to do so. You play your style; I'll play mine. I'm not the only successful ftr player who buys in short stack. I'm just the least successful.

No kidding, Quit that NOW..... There is no justification what's so ever to enter a table short stacked. How smart would you feel hitting the "Royal w/ Cheez", and maniac callers going crazy, yet you got only $20 bucks.
You might think you are winning pots here and there, but in reality you are losing money when you prohibit yourself from winning larger pots.
I'd take the ear muffs off and start listening.

He's got a tiny stack, the straight would have been a gut shot draw, go for it.

The short stack has its good and bad sides. I played it for a while and it was quite profitable. The upside was that many would call with marginal hands they would otherwise have folded.

Okay. Here I go one more time:
I'm not picking a table and then saying "I'll buyin as a short stack because it's safer." I'm picking a buyin amount and using it at a higher level than it would be a max buyin for. I do this for the reason Cocco Bill mentioned, as well as the fact that on "normal" hands, my winnings are determined more by the size of the blinds than the size of my buyin. If I'm going to make $20-$25 no matter what when I get my killer hand, why not make more on the mediocre hands inbetween?

Oh, and getting back to the hand...opp held Jh, Ah. Made a flush on the river. I suspect I'd have won the smaller pot if I pushed the turn.
