Because of the initial raise I put him JJ-AA, cause I had KK I thought this was worth a call. Your guesses what he held and what I should have done.
PS. I tried to use the converter but I had problems with the AI. How to fix that?

Worth a call with KK??? Re-raise him pre-flop ... big. You'll lose to AA once in a while but usually you're ahead with KK.

Agreed. That's a straightforward problem. I'd raise it to 9 or 10 preflop at the minimum.

Re-raising preflop with premium hands is something I really have to work with, good to identify one big leak more. I am sure that a raise to $10 would have pretty much chased away every other hand besides AA,(KK) and perhaps QQ&JJ, quite often the fish will call even AI with AK but that is their problem.
The reasoning I did not to reraise with KK was to get more money to the pot especially when I was not first to act. Of course the problem having too many players is when u see A and/or a couple of face cards (and no K of course). Anyways, point taken I am new thanks!

Do you think this actually gets calls at the lower levels?
Maybe I'm still too passive, but I'd probably just bet the 1.5x the pot preflop (or 1/3 the opponent's stack...whichever is greater), to increase the chances that he'll actually call and then get him farily committed to a push on the flop.
Am I mistaken in thinking that you actually want the guy to call in this situation?

That works too but all in takes all the thinking out of it....what is an Ace flops what then?

Often an ace won't flop and you'll maximise your winnings. All in preflop just minimizes your chances of getting the msot out of the hand and maximises the amount you can lsoe if you do run into aces or a bad beat.
So, all in preflop is a silly overbet and the wrong play here, but you should DEFNITIELY be raising, maybe raise to $9 or $11 here.

Here is to Ilikeaces and rippy, and to all others too who think the same. I have to admit that just calling raises is what I have been doing with AA, KK, QQ. But I do not feel shame, even though I perhaps should
This just happened me on EP, I just read the replies for my previous hand before I saw this hand, I still didnt want to go AI right away so that I wouldnt scare lower holdings away but definitely wanted to raise, again too little imo but still something. This time I got lucky
Rippy and others as well, please comment what would you have raised to open the pots and how much would you have reraised? And what if I would have held QQ in both hands, what to do then? Now when he went AI I was quite sure he had AA but I felt I had to play, guess I did the right thing..
just wondering I am new thanks!
