This guy kept reraising me when I bet on several occasions and I folded each time because I usually only had a pair. So, he was pissing me off. I only showed down winners at this table and didn't play many pots so he must known I have a hand. He was very loose but seemed to play ok post flop.

Anyway, I'm wondering if I should have pushed or not. I didn't want to scare him away from giving me just a little more money. When he typed damit he had like 7 seconds left. I thought he would fold, so I quickly typed haha to try to get him to call or reraise. What I should have done is told him I had the nut flush and to fold and then pushed instead of value bet.

Some aggressive players will bet a river when the only hand that calls will beat them. Did you feel this may be one of those people? In that case I would have tried for a river check raise. It's risky but it works sometimes. He might especially bet if he didn't have the eight or the jack.

I agree with your play given that he had an eight, though I would have bet more if I decided to lead the river. The reason being that there aren't really any possible weak hands to be priced in. He either has a hand to pay you off with or he doesn't. This opponent will sometimes call an all in on the river here given your history together. It's just something to consider.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.
