Here are a few scenarios, to see what people would do.
Is it too good of a hand to fold?
OR
Shall I call
OR
Shall I announce ALL-IN
Sounds easy enough
[I play on Noble Poker however the Hand Histories suck there, so i have done some through memory, and are as close as possible.
(ie Stack sizes are not mentions in HH and they are a blumming nusuance to find the Hand)
They all happened between January 8th - January 9th]
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Easy One first:
5 Seater NLH 25c/50c
Hero just joined the game. Multitabling at that point has no knowledge of any players
Villiain is unknown.
Hero is UTG ($52)
Villain is big blind($53)
Hero has Kc Kh
Hero calls (Misclick i was mulitabling)
1 Fold
Button(who has $6): raises $2
SB folds
BB all in $53
Does Hero call an extra $51.50?
Noble Poker has an All-in button. Did he press that?
Does he have aces?
What would you do?
Humm...........
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Medium One:
6 Seater NLH 25c/50c
Villain 1 is a tight and ultraggressive player.
Usually has top pair but will make big moves with nuts!
Villain 2 is unknown.
Hero is a tight aggressive player, but only played a few hands and none have gone to showdown.
Hero($54.85): UTG+1
Villain 1($55.50): SB
Villain 2 (~$48): BB
Hero has 10d 10s
UTG folds
Hero raises to $2
2 folds
Villain 1 reraises to $3.50
Villain 2 calls
Hero calls $1.50
Flop:
10c 3d Js
Pot $9.75
Villain 1 bets $10
Villain 2 calls $10
Hero calls $10
Turn:
10c 3d Js 3 h
Pot: $39.75
Villain goes all in $42.25. He has got you covered. You only have $41.60
Here are 2 questions.
Do you call if:
Villain 2 folds?
Villain 2 calls?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Last Hand.
Difficult
5 Seater NLH 25c/50c
Villian is:
Tight well rounded player.
Will ONLY reraise early position with AA KK.
Slow plays big hands - only bets the river.
Can make amazing folds.
Hero has a tight aggressive image. He can read me very well
Villain is SB ($66)
Hero is Button. ($54)
I have Jd Jh.
UTG folds, MP folds, 1 calls,
I reraise to $2
SB reraises to $7.25
BB folds
1 fold
I call $5.25 (implied odds if i hit the jack were hugh!)
Flop:
Ac 7d Js
Pot: $16.50
Villain: Checks
Hero: Checks ( I thought I was behind here with JJJ)
Turn:
Ac 7d Js Jc
Villain: Checks
Hero: Checks (Trap - Funny how things change )
River:
Ac 7d Js Jc As
Ahhhhhhhh what do i do???
Would you be willing to be fold he he went all in here??
Surely I cant fold 4 Of Kind Jacks? Can I?
If he checks, bet right?
Should I have bet the flop??
Should I have bet the turn?
I will explain all results in the near future
Happy Posting

1. call
2. auto call. I may have raised flop.
3. bet every street, if he has an overset it doest matter. At these stakes you pay set over set. His passive line could very well be KK.

1. Easy call. BB was trying to isolate the shortie and certainly didn't expect you to have a big hand.
2. Again easy call. Villain 1 could make the same play with AA to QQ. Villain 2 has shown no strength and could be on a draw.
3. Definitely should have bet turn, if not the flop. Push turn if c-raised. As played, if you REALLY REALLY trust your read it's probably best to make a 1/3-1/2 pot bet and fold to significant c-raises.

1) super easy call
2) super easy flop raise, super easy turn call
3) super easy call if big bet is made (all in may be questionable if your read is strong), super easy value bet full pot if checked to

Exactly. If you don't have the nuts, you could be drawing dead.

I suck badly as documented, but fuck, where are the tough decisions. ALL-IN on every hand at first chance. None of these boards are scary, and are actually what you hope to see when you hit a set. the tough decisions come from suited flops, Double paired boards and you hold bottom set. And never slow play sets with A or K"s on board. You will get paid more than not.
One more thing don't give hero a description,

Hero has a tight aggressive image

You want to know how we would play it or how you should play it. Not to mention tight aggressive hammers away at sets, not slow play and traps.

lol. Yes the Origianl Post is serious.
ahhh. The insincerity of the last posts. Loving it
Hum...... so I kinda guessing that everybody would call/raise each of the hands I mentioned.
Please post more if you are one of these people.
Is there anyone on this forum that would EVEN CONSIDER FOLDING any of the hands i mentioned? If you are please let me know and say which one you would consider folding

on hand 3 if villain shoved river id be crying but it would make no sense to do that with AA since he cannot put u on a hand that might call. basicallly all these hands represent trivially easy decisions

easy calls on all hands. value bet the hell out of the JJ hand. that is a dream flop for you.
RE: the read that villain ONLY reraises with KK/AA. How many hands do you have on villain. Unless you have 1000+ i dont think you can accurately say this, and even with that many im still not sure.

there are certain spots where you dont get away from your hand. AAA versus JJJ in a reraised pot is one of thise spots. Sure, if you play 1knl and someone posts it and says 'zomg i think he has it' then maybe. But more of a concern is stack sizes. 100bbs deep there are almost no difficult decisions epecially when you flop a set, even in a reraised pot. 200bbs+ deep, we have a totally different story.
Sure, make amazing laydowns based on reads at 50nl, but then you probably arent pushing your small edges hard enough which will be most cotly than making a great fold for a stack IMO.

All-in all hands, especially at 50NL. Generally if I get outquaded, outsetted or AA-vs-KKed PF I'm getting stacked. I might just call a value bet on the last hand rather then reraise, though it would be hard not to push quads.

hand 1: i'd call this of course even if BB has aces, he could be doing this with TT+, AQs+ to isolate the shortstack so you're probably ahead.
hand 2: it's tough it looks like Villain 1 has QQ/KK/AA and Villain 2 would make this play with jacks (3's also possible). The betting action looks like Villain 1 is betting his overpair while you are slowplaying and trying to keep all of you in the pot. Villain 1 certainly doesn't have JJ, since he'd be slowplaying i guess, at least the flop. The only hard thing to do is the situation if Villain 2 calls the all-in bet, because that's the pretty standard way to play top set, especially if someone agressively bets into you. I'd call anyway (crying, mind you) and gave myself around 25% chance i'm ahead. wouldn't mind a fold also.
hand3: first thing, bet the flop, you have position. as played, i'd call his value bet and value bet pot if checked to everytime, but the problem is, you can't possibly push since the only thing the calls you are quad aces (unamused KK every full moon, but that's very rare) so you're pretty much stuck. i'd probably call his push, but that's because i have quads and i'm stubborn, but i seriously doubt that i'm ahead here, the way that hand has been played. It looks like scared KK (from which, you're not going to get money with an all-in, a sizeable value bet would be fine) or AA (which got there on the river). What i don't get is that if you put him on AA/KK you have a 50% chance to get the money no matter what you do on the turn (he's not folding nut boat) and 50% chance you're not getting any (KK). I don't see why check behind there. If i'm certain villain has AA/KK, i'd really overbet the turn, just to get his boat all-in, if he has it.
p.s.: i'd try that with nut quads, pushing all-in on the river, because 99,99% of the time the other player hasn't got squat and you're likely to make money from quad aces if you play it like a bluff, maybe get an angry KK to put you on QQ and call.
i'd really like to see results
