Wow. Were you playing super LAG so his pre flop was just a showing of resistance? If it was the other two aces he probably woulda went in instead of calling. KK is the only other likely holding. Wonder what he mucked.

KK, He hit the fold button accidently...

Seriously, I'm guessing the other AA is a remote possiblity, but likely holdings are definietly QQ, JJ, or even TT for some fish...

i hate paying people off when I have the over pair, so I see nothing wrong with taking the foot off the gas if an expected set card hits the flop/turn/river... particularly any J Q or K.

You need an exceptional read to do it but when a tight player goes from sitting there folding, to raising 12x the bb, you gotta give him credit for something.
take your ego out of the equation and judge the situation dispassionately

I sort of did. I only bet maybe 1/4 of the pot on the flop. I was trying to get information as cheaply as possible since my play looks a lot like K-K if he doesn't have it.

The other two A's would have kept raising until someone pushed pre flop instead of let the raising stop though.

He's not going to fold on the flop with A-A to a single bet.
