As soon as I made this bet I kicked my own ass. I say the right move is to check and let him either check and give me the pot or have him bet rest of his stack to me.

yeah... You have the supernuts. But He has to wonder what you have calling all his bets. I bet he doesn't bet anyway.

Unless he's the supreme overlord idiot, he'll check behind on the river - so don't check there. I'd say bet smaller, maybe $10 or so. Throw out the kind of bet he feels like he HAS to call based on the pot odds. He's probably on AK and knows he's beat by this point, but if you give him the right bet he'll call it anyway, hoping his high cards are good.

Betting to maximize profits is one of the hardest things to do consistently in poker.

I have seen him raise pre flop often so he could have easily have AK but this is the same guy who called my $2 pre flop raise with A3o and called all the way to the river when A came on a flop. A $10 bet sounds like a good play because he might feel pot comited to add another $10 even with a no hand plus it gives him a chance to push with a bluff atempt.

Like I said as soon as I made that bet I kicked my own ass because I closed too many of his doors. It was fight or flight for him.

That being said, I was involved in a hand like this for my very first hand when the other guy had AA and I had a 3 5. Hey, he minimum raised and I had position on him. Figured it was worth the extra BB to just SEE a flop and see what comes of it.

flop came 3 3 4. He bets pot size
Turn gives a 4. He bets the pot size again
River gives a 5. He's all in for hte pot size.

I don't think he even stopped to CONSIDER what I had. To tell teh truth, I was scared he had a 4, but I thought NO WAY.

So yeah; there are idiots out there. It helps to have position on them. But I wouldn't check in your situation. Unless it was the same guy that I played against, he probably ain't betting.

HE MISS3D HIS FLUSH!

Or his AK missed, yes do bet smaller on the river. A bet that if he folds other people will laugh and ridicule him for not callling when the pot is so large.
