Okay....I don't have a nice little hand history so I'll have to write my own out here. This was the first hand of a $5 SNG on Stars...
First position calls $20.
I am dealt KQ(s) in 2nd position, I raise to $100.
Everyone folds, first position calls $20.
FLOP: Ten, King, Ten
First position bets, $20.
I raise to $150.
First Position calls.
TURN: Ace
First position bets, $140.
I call, $140.
RIVER: Queen
First position bets, $20.
I raise to $500.
He reraises to $700.
I reraise ALL IN.
He calls ALL IN.
I have: Two pair, Kings and Queens.
He has: Trip Tens (started out originally with 10/7), and my ass is whipped.
I'm just not sure where I went wrong. I was correct that he didn't have an Ace, that's why I called his $140 bet (if positions were different I would have done the same thing, "rep the ace" if you will).
Is this just extremely bad luck or a terrible play?

Two pair is not a liscense to print money.
His call on the flop PLUS the preflop call represents at the, very least, an OESD. On turn, you're way behind to a lot of hands.
I dump on the river and definately don't commit so many chips. You're aggression is good but it is a great example of being aggressive just to be aggressive. You've got to be guided in your bets.
An ace beats you soundly, a straight beats you soundly. You're only hope is a worse K. but KJ+KT beats you soundly.
So... he has K9 right?
That's about all you can beat.

a fellow poker player i converse with off line told me once after recieving a bad beat, to never ever underestimate your opponent. Why did you have it engraved in your head that he didnt have a Ten? He could have had AT-KT-QT-JT-T9-TT, i have seen preflop raises of 5xBB getting called by all i have just listed. Yes he had a horrific hand T7o, yuck, but preflop doesnt matter when there is a flop out there. Even AK had you beat at this point, KK, there is no way i would have put all my money in on KQs with that kind of flop and turn. EVEN on the RIVER, 4 CARD STRAIGHT. You didnt put him on Aces, great he had you beat from the first three cards!!! Remember that a preflop favorite is only as good as the board, AA murders AKo any day, but when the flop comes QJT, well that changes everything.
