He didnt reply till after I had folded. I said that then hit fold. He replied during middle of following hand. I just edited in the thread and brought his response up behind mine for easier reading. But yeah, I probably should have said nothing, your right.

You said it before you made your descision. Thats ok if you have some sort of read about the answers he will give with a strong hand/bluff. Overall though I dont tend to say anything to do with my hand. I just talk about random stuff so people see me as 'active' rather than a rock and also because it makes the game more fun.

gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

General thought - should Hero have bet more on the Turn? Hard to tell with him just calling, it's possible he has AA/KK/AK I suppose.

Note: new guy and very open to constructive criticism, so go ahead and weigh in! I'm here to learn.

Normally I dont say anything at all. This may have been the first ever time I made a remark like this.

As far as the turn bet goes. I made a $2 bet, I thought that would push him off any chase he may have been on. So you could be right, maybe a $3 bet would have done it. I dont know, he could have had a small pp and hit trips and was just baiting me while I was doing the betting. aok's counterplay maybe?

hi there,
I think here i would have raised x5BB preflop, and overbet on the flop...
only hand that can beat you preflop are KK and AA.
After the flop u may be against a set or a flush draw ... but here i bet the flop hard ... if i get called then i can think again, may be i m against a set, higher pp, flush draw ...
But i think on the flop u are ahead, so i would make the opponent pay to see the turn ....

ah and also i would have keep silent .... no offense ...

No offense taken at all. As I said above, this may have been the first ever time I have ever said anything like that. Most time I talk its usually just friendly conversation. And really thats all that was ment to be.

Raise to at least $1 PF.
Flop is fine relative to the pot.
Bet the turn bigger.
River is probably fine. Against an unknown I'll look him up like 10-20% of the time.
