Two examples of AQ in the hole and how differently they were played...

serialx calls [$30].
JimboAllen shows [ Jh, As ] high card ace.
serialx shows [ Qd, Ah ] high card ace.
serialx wins $97 from the main pot with high card ace with queen kicker.

Up to this hand, I had noticed that Jimbo was rather stubborn and tough to shake. On the river, I thought for a while before calling. No straight. No flush. Until he bet, I thought he possibly had paired the 9 or the 10 and I was ready to fold. But then his bet of $30 into a pot of $37 set off alarms in my head. That felt like a bet that did NOT want to be called. I actually would have folded if he had bet just a little less than that.. say, $20. But the near-potsize bet just screamed "steal attempt." If he also had an ace, I figured I likely had him outkicked. I rarely make calls like this, but in some situations, I just have a strong feeling that something is very suspicious. He left the table soon after this.

There was another player earlier at this table that was often making similarly big pre-flop raises with hands like K9 (clearly a maniac) and I'd called him with hands like AQ (he soon lost his stack and left). But this guy, DONT2OUTME, seldomly raised this much pre-flop. As a matter of fact, this was probably only the second time in my long session at this table with him that he raised more than $4 pre-flop. I had wanted to raise with my AQ, but after he made it $10 to see the flop, I couldn't see how I could even call with my AQ. Sure enough (though I actually put him on a strong pair), he was kind enough to confirm that my Queen was dominated by his King.

Look at you. I can remember reading posts about how you don't like this game, and you keep making silly mistakes. (I'd be embaressed to see some of the first posts I made on here)

Now you're pretty damn good. And obviously profitable.

Great job.
I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

We all start at the bottom of the pecking order. The will to move up mixed in with a little intelligence, ambition and creativity is what seperates the winning players from the pack...
