Nice one!
My table talk story is just like that...
In a live game the guy on my right was a noob and played everything. when the board came 10c Jc Qd 3c Ad, I noticed he got ectra excited when the Ace hit. I put him on K4o with the straight.
I hit the flush on the turn and slowplayed it. He bet big on the river and I sat and thought for a moment. I looked at him and said "There's no way you have a king." I pushed AI, he quickly calls and turns over K4o.

8/10 times i have seen someone say something stupid like "you dont have that 9" when the board is 99J they have the 9. That is just from my experience
Edit: doesnt mean i wouldnt of called with the set though

I once laid down a set, after someone went all in and started talking on chat. It seems like when they are bluffing they definitely don't talk, much like in Mike Caro's book of Poker Tells he says that players typically hold their breath and try not to show any emotion whatsoever when bluffing, but when a player starts a calm conversation, that usually means he has a monster and is not afraid of losing the hand.
I always talk in chat when the villian goes all-in, see what he says and if he responds at all.

Thats actually a table talk i use a lot(tell them their hand and act like your sure they don't have it and then push).
Off topic but, is it legal to rep a hand as table talk..for example in this hand "Haha you can't beat my A4" and then push That is something i LOVE to use(i have some monster flush or straight and i know my opponement has 2 two pair and i tell them they can't beat my AA).
I also love to tell them the hand im reping when im bluffing. For example if i didn't have flush on this board and i wanted to bluff a tough opponement i would say something like this: "7 high flush good?" , then debate a little, then push
In short, when i have a monster i try to tell them i have an ok hand but weaker than theirs, and when i bluff i try to tell them what i'm reping since im scared they're too dumb to see it themselves.

I read this post and thought I would give it a try if I had the chance. This was in a SNG. I used a different line than "I dont think you have it". I went the with "I hate letting this go" as if I was on a draw I wanted to catch. It worked the player bet all their chips into me. I said it after the Turn. When the River came down a 2. They probably thought I missed my draw, and figured they had me beat. I know it wasnt a great hand to play, but I had the chips and limped in from SB. He caould have also had a 6 with a better kicker, I figured I have to go with the set. Pay him off if he had it.

BankItPayette - I'm intrigued - how did you put him on K4o? - I can see why you put him on the K put knowing his kicker as well.

Lol you don't need to table talk him into making a mistake when he has already acted and all you need to do is hit the call button with the nuts. This hand would have played out exactly the same whether you table talked or not.

Calling the King was easy, my internal crystal ball said 4 off. It was the most accurate read I've made on a player before. It's too bad I didn't say the 4 out loud like "I bet you don't have K4..."

Guessing his kicker isn't really a read, just a guess, but still funny and i have a similar story.
I was playing a noobish cousin over thanksgiving break, and made a relatively average for the table sized pre flop raise of 4BB with QQ from MP. He called me from the SB. Flop is something like 238 rainbow, all lower than Q. He checks, i bet, he calls. Turn is another blank, 6 or 9 or something. He checks, i bet 1/2 the pot, he calls again. River is an A, he goes all in with what is about a pot sized bet. About 2/3rds of my chips are in the pot at this point. I know i have lost the hand but if i fold I am pretty much screwed. I tell him i know what he is holding and if i'm wrong that he can have the rest of my chips, but if i'm right I have to give him the pot. He (stupidly) agreed. I guessed A5o and was right on the ball, i take down the pot.
I knew it was lower than AT or i would ahve expected a reraise pre flop. I knew he didn't hit a pair on the flop or he would have bet it. That left me with Ax where x could be only 3 different low cards. I looked at it as taking a 2:1 gamble against, getting 5:1 odds (the pot had 5x my remainign stack) and it paid off . Nh cousin!

BankItPayette - the force is strong in you
got to love noobs - preflop look down at their cards and see K4o - they must think I've got a K thats the second best unpaired hand you can start with - i'll call that raise.
Its a cruel game

I had AK yesterday and called a preflop raise. The flop came out QJT. He bet and I reraised. He said "AK?" and then pushed. I replied "Good Guess". He put me on the hand but still pushed. Not that him pushing was a bad play, but if you know AK, then wtf?
