Table was pretty tight (especially the two I went to showdown with) and the action preflop here was WAY out of the ordinary. I called the first time hoping to catch my set and de-stack the original raiser... then the insanity began... Is there a fold in there anywhere? Should I have raised at some point preflop?

This is a hand where I believe everyone who went to showdown played post flop correctly. I just got luck that my set held up.

What do you guys think?

I'd play it exactly the same. I think your preflop play here is fine.

The first one may have been a little loose but I was playing set it or forget it post-flop... If I did set it I could take the guys whole stack since I had previously pushed him off a 15$ pot with a bluff and showed him my busted straight draw. He was ripe for the picking

Even if your against Aces, Kings, Queens, its still a good idea to call, knowing if you flop your seven, you'll probably quadruple your stack.

Yah, but if AA and KK are out there, you're not seeing a flop with this kind of preflop action (one player raises, several callers, a minraiser and several callers). AA and KK have plenty of opportunity to push preflop and they would have.

Smithers, use the amnesia ray.
You mean the revolver, sir?
Precisely.

yeah, that action was pretty weak if there was a high pocket pair there...

Yesterday I witnesses exact same thing at NL 200!

7 limpers for $2 one guy raises to $10 5 call then one other guys raises to $20. $140 pot on a flop of K 7 T with a flush draw. UTG goes all -in for $130 and gets called by 4 people (who he had all covered) He had trip 7s and dodged : the 2 aces, all the flush cards, all the straight cards for $400 pot :P

So someone had pocket aces and didn't push after the 5 calls of 10$. WTF?

This one hand nicely recovered my tuition from moving up to 20$ SnGs yesterday.

The $1.50 call from early position was a little trickey. If you know
your on a LAG table, with lots of callers its not a bad play. The rest is standard.
