Why wouldn't you check that river?

Given the size of the pot relative to your stack, how often are you getting a better hand to fold vs paying off a better hand vs getting a worse hand to call (not often enough; too often; almost never)

If you are going to bet that river, what does an all-in bet accomplish that a pot sized bet wouldn't?

If I bet pot, he would have raised all in anyways. He checked it so i figured him to be scared of the flush. I bet the flush when I sense weakness in my opponent.
