after a pot and a call, i raise. Your hand has great value on the flop in that you are 50/50 vrs everything and this allows you to get agressive without making any -ev raises or calls.

Smithers, use the amnesia ray.
You mean the revolver, sir?
Precisely.

Like he said above you are 50/50 v. everything so w/ the loose change in the pot you should always call.

I'd probably make it about $6-$7 straight on the flop. I'd try playing this hand (on the flop at least) as similarly to 44 as possible for metagame reasons, and the fact that an OESFD is a huge hand on the flop. Also, if the turn bricks though, your hand loses a ton of value.

Anyway, as played, there's $21 in the pot when action is on you, and $13 to call. There are exactly 0 hands he can have which would make a fold correct, hence, easy call.

I thought youd be behind but ran it through pokerstove and putting villain on a range of QQ+,99, 44,AQx you are 50/50, I think a more likely range would be something like 99,44,AQx because of the preflop action, so AXh draw could be possible as well. Given all this and the dead money in the middle its a call.

range isn't important here at all, it's an insta-call no matter what.

Which is what I realized after running those numbers. If you do put him on just a set though you are behind but the dead money probably makes up for that, so yea, no matter the range this is a call.

I agree, raise the flop.

With a straight flush draw, you have 15 outs for your hand, which makes you a 2-1 FAVOURITE to make a straight or better by the river. It doesn't matter that your hand isn't the best now - you figure to have the best hand when it comes to the showdown. Take advantage of this and get as much money in the pot as possible.

Durden's all in looks like he's spiked a set/2pair and is looking to price out the draws. Your draw is waay too strong to get priced out here. Call his all in.

raise the flop call any push and if the push is less than your stack with others in then just push wats left of it in.

All your money goes in on this flop, at worst your 40% dog vs a set and if you get any other callers then you definatly have odds to call/push if you dont anyways with just one pusher.

Thanks for all the advice. Looking back I really should have raised the flop. I'm still a little gun shy playing draws and unfortunately I folded. My mind was saying call but my mouse hand refused to accept the command.

No more weak tight nonsense!

FWIW, I ran the numbers earlier, and worst case scenario I believe was if the other guy had 44 with a heart, and even that we had 42% equity against if I remember correctly. If I remember correctly, we had to win the hand 39% of the time to make it a 0 EV call. I'm lazy and don't feel like running the exact numbers again, but I think those were right.

lol @ me being weak-tight.

If I was more weak-tight, my winrate would shoot through the roof. True.
