This gets a bit crazy...but there's a lot on this board that beats me...and a few possibilities that don't, but that aren't all that likely, I think.
Any comments?

This particular player, I just did not happen to see show down many hands. I am under the impression that he is a standard decent player, and not someone limp-calling in MP with 78s or 34o to be headsup. Flush draw, perhaps with a pair and an over is still a possibility. Thus, I attempt to price him out, and wouldn't pay it off anyway. I don't think I'm paying off a straight here either...but another allin river overbet ... ugh! Needless to say, I would have checked-behind on the river, but opponenet decided to put me to the test.

Let's look at what hands you opponent probably has that you can beat vs. what you are beaten by.
Beat: JJ, AT
Beaten: AA,KK, TT, 99, 66,55, many 2 pairs, 87(straight)

Easy fold for me.

He's playing NL$25...How many players have the guts to make that move at that level? I haven't seen many players like that from my days there. I think it is a player who caught a good hand and is trying to get paid.

This player is a quad-tabling TAG.
Does that change the chances that the river overbet is a bluff?

You said this was an easy fold for you. So I'm guessing you have no idea how often you are being bluffed here. This happens alot at these levels.

Easy fold for me I think he was sitting on suited connectors and he made his straight. I dont like the raise call raise call lay it down

You're right...I shouldn't say 'needless to say' because it doesn't make any sense without some context. And the context was more of an intuition-based thing than anything else...the manner in which this hand played out, check-bet-standard delay-call, check-bet-standard-delay-call, standard-delay push.
There are plenty of times that I bet the river with an overpair, but it depends on the board, player, and preceeding action, read etc.
Something didn't feel right and I would have checked-behind in this particular case, otherwise I end up pot-committed to call his reraise push.

I didn't say this was an easy fold for me...I hovered over the call button with a jittery finger wanting very badly to press it, until my time expired.
I have made this call several times easily against specific players that overbet bluff, and who I'm usually leading into bluffing anyway. I've made it against shortstacks. I've made it on the flop. But to be honest it's been a less frequent occurence for me that a hand has gone down in this manner at the river when I am not pretty sure I've got the best of it.

But of the few times that I did not have a read and only ended up with a pair that this type of action happened - one was a flopped nut straight, one a flopped fullhouse, and one a flopped set. All there cases looked too suspicious and evoked a call and bust out from me.

Evidently this guy was willing to risk getting no further action from me if the flush completed on the turn or river, and the chance of an A or K slowing things down a bit.

He apparently was just hoping that none of these scare cards would show up, and that I really had an overpair that didn't 2-outer him (not a serious concern obviously). He wanted his play to look like the dumbass desperation of a busted flush draw, which is pretty much what it looks like.

But ...
