okay, this could be stupid but i see people talking about stacking tables and how its better than tiling and yeah. Right now I cascade ~16 tables at stars. Is stacking just putting all 16 over each other?

what are the benefits? i use a 21ws

I play 24 tables and have 4 corners of 6 each. I just think it looks better

i stack 10-16 tables in the bottom right, have web browser open 90% size from top of screen to just above the buttons on stars tables. if i need to think hard about a hand i pull the table away then restack when done.

this is the best way to browse while playing with just one monitor. because i need to do that and i need the lowest amount of visual clutter, i do this. do not know if its any better than any other method as far as speed goes

yes... stacking tables is laying them 100% over one another.. it's pretty much the greatest thing since baby jesus... or... Frodo Baggins, depnding on the alter at which you pray most frequently...

The is an excellent AHK script that will kick out tables whenever you need to look at it. I stack up to 24 tables of 100nl in the upper left corner, and irc rollin' in the bottom right. I also drag the windows task bar to the left side and slide it out a ways, so that I can click on individual tables if they are blicking and didn't get brought to the front.

If you are used to cascading, tiling will pretty much be like getting massaged by 24 pairs of well-oiled boobs.

BTW, i play on an lolshitty laptop screen... but even if I had a ballin setup, I'd still do the same thing.
So you click their picture and then you get their money?

lol, ive been pro for about a year n a half. however, this last year has been extremely bad to my personal life, and that put a huge damper on poker, so i havent worked much. ive let my savings and roll dwindle, moved down, and have been working just enough to pay my bills each month (which amounts to like 8 yrs a week). so yea i havent been at the tables much for about a year, despite the fact that ive improved immensely from study. i also pretty much never post strat, which is obv.

this lengthy period of lax is coming to a close though. which is fantastic cuz im actually pretty good at this thing

also i never play for recreation, and if i didnt need a career i likely never would

I think he's saying you shouldn't browse while playing. FWIW I get bored playing any less than 20 tables and constantly browse in the background.

I always play worse when I'm doing things other than just poker. I could write 2000 words explaining why but I just don't care enough.

So, i stacked 12 tables in the left hand corner and im never going back. Super efficient, i was worried that i would misclick alot but due to to the fact that there is so little mouse movement you arent racing around. i played 4k hands and misclicked a grand total of 0 times

I could write 3000 words explaining why this is funny, but I'll just say that it has something to do with wufwugy set-over setting me at 100NL sometime last year

I might give this a bit of a shot. Since I tile atm, I suspect the biggest change for me will be not using the auto-action buttons (basically pre-folding crap hands in EP/MP).
Just playing to improve.

I tried it and it immediately cuts my ptbb/100 in half. If you play 16 you don't have time to spectate the other tables anyway... but i play around 8 most of the time, and I like to know how the table dynamic works and to pick up reads and make notes even when I'm not in the hand.
Lately I've tried to go back to 4 tables cascading - preferrably ultra-short handed to HU. It's quite likely less $/hour, but I still have to learn a lot about the game, and this helps me analyze the tables better. I don't get bored either.
For the bonus at FT I sometimes stack 16-20 25NL tables... only way to make it without carpal tunnel for me - But it doesn't feel like playing poker to me... it's just a bunch of automated decisions. But I guess if you're good at interpreting the HUD and fast enough to look up recent hands and look at notes then I guess this is the best way if $/hr is what you're after. - $/hr is always nice, but for myself I think if I want to move up to 200NL at some point - which has been my goal from the get go I'd rather play less tables and try to pay more attention.
