So after reading doyle's NL section of SSII I thought id try playing in the style he advocates. Normally im a steady 15/8 TAGG, but today I really tried to Lagg it up. Finished 2 shortish sessions (break for dinner) 5 buyins up and was needless to say quite pleased with that. I had a lot of fun doing it which is quite an important point.
Take a look at some of the hands, results often included so as to show the ups and downs of the style. Comment on the style if you wish, or on my implementation/interpretation of the brunson style if you have read the book.
I should be noted that you win A LOT of pots without contest doing this, even multiway ones i wouldnt normally bet at!
Here goes

Ok so a mixed bag I'll admit. One thing i will say though is that, people folded a lot more against my flop bets knowing they'd have bigger bets to call, just like Doyle says. Certainly all the money i made raising and pushing people off the flop covered most of the big hand losses and set me up for the wins.
Forgetting the 20% increase to my bankroll after 2hours only, does anyone actually think this style has anything going for it? Harrington would be sick if he saw hand 12!

I think that you're ultimately playing big pots with marginal hands. When you run well, it will be good, as here. Note that there were multiple times in the above that you were less than 20% going to the river, but made your hand to win a big pot.
I think that if you run poor, this may well end up causing relatively big losses.
Any time you play big pots, you're going to have more variance. If you catch the upside of that variance, you're going to be very happy with the results. The downside will make you cry, however.
In any case, aggressive play is definitely good though, and that's certainly something to pick up from this experiment. Let us know how things end up!

Yeah as Doyle says, when you get all your money in you're often behind.
YOu steal so many small pots, that, so far it has been worth it.
Not sure I ended up with all my money in and only a 20% shot very often. Plus, as you see, my sets get paid off because people give me less credit and go with their bigish hands.
I have no idea, whether this will be profitable for long. But i'll keep playing with it.

Agree with JeffreyGB. You go too far with so so hands.
I tried to 'Doyle it up' myself just recently. After hitting the wall several times went back to reread the book and was quite surprised of how many things I missed the first time. Doyle's system is a perfect LAG primer - you go AGGRO in small-ish pots and play reasonably in big ones (this is your leak IMO, once the bet/raise is initiated you can't stop), save the flop all-in on draw that is often EV+ due to FE.
On the other side experiments like this really expanded my game and my overall perception of poker as a game. Super System is a great book, filled with tons of interesting ideas and important concepts and those who say it's obsolete are full of BS.

Not to pile on too much here...but several of these hands are spew fests. You need to be more selective with your aggression, or you are going to give away alot of chips.
Nonetheless, I applaud the efforts to open up your game and play big pot poker. It's truly a fun way to play, and profitable over the long haul if you fine tune some things.

My thoughts (prob not worth much)
Hand 1: Standard (i.e. not really doyled)
Hand 2: Def agro
Hand 3: Fine
Hand 4: Standard
Hand 5: Could lead to spew
Hand 6: Standard
Hand 7: Open limping is very un-agro. Villain is being the doyle in this hand
Hand 8: Pretty standard, you're going to get called by AQ there a lot
Hand 9: Spew
Hand 10: Good
