Why did you come crashing down on the turn?
What were your reads on him?
You need to assume with that board that you have the best hand until given reason to believe otherwise. .25c will not get him to fold nor will it give any information about his hand.

i hate seeing 3 of a suit on the board, thats why i wanted to bet 25c to see if he would re-raise me then i'd know if he had the flush at that time.
why would he even stay in with the big bet on the flop ? sometimes i get ridiculously frustrated when i dont understand why people are staying in (ie i think of their pot odds, what they likely have, and it just doesnt make sense)
is it wrong for me to trust math, statistics, pot odds, pre-flop strategy and to try my best to combine that with real experience to become good at this !??

so my correct play on the turn would be a half pot or full pot bet still with my set which would be about a $2.50 bet (half pot) ?

2 diamonds - on the flop bet a good size bet on the flop; if he calls then the next card is a diamond bet again how big? that depends if he raises then you probably see that he hit his flush.
4 cards to the flush on the board I am pretty sure he had it.

so put in a half pot bet or slightly higher on the turn, either he'll fold in which case i win, call in which case he might still be drawing or have a non-flush type hand, and if he raises then i'm out.
yes?
