and i mean i knew exactly what he had. which meant i knew he didn't have a diamond. so all i had to do was dodge a pairing of the board. i knew it was over when i saw the ten on the river.

at that point i think i went on tilt and this guy who i had no read on basically owned my ass. he limped before me in a 5NL game and i raised. and then he shoves all in. i think about it for a second and basically just say fuck it and call:

*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to iolzizlyi [As Ks]

iolzizlyi: calls $0.10 and is all-in

*** SHOW DOWN ***
juicy$ JM: shows [Ah Ad] (two pair, Aces and Sixes)
iolzizlyi: mucks hand
juicy$ JM collected $10.82 from pot

so apparently, limp/shove means AA. anyways i donked those away myself. drinking is def -EV.

i sobered up a bit and got some cash back on this hand:

*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to iolzizlyi [Ah Kh]
DawsonS64: folds
Octavius FX: folds
bobo333: folds
iolzizlyi: raises $0.75 to $1

Buckdoo: raises $2 to $3
iolzizlyi: calls $2
*** FLOP *** [6d Ks 7h]
Buckdoo: bets $1.50
iolzizlyi: calls $1.50
*** TURN *** [6d Ks 7h] [2s]
Buckdoo: bets $3
iolzizlyi: raises $5.65 to $8.65 and is all-in
Buckdoo: calls $5.65
*** RIVER *** [6d Ks 7h 2s] [6s]
*** SHOW DOWN ***
Buckdoo: shows [Qs Qd] (two pair, Queens and Sixes)
iolzizlyi: shows [Ah Kh] (two pair, Kings and Sixes)
iolzizlyi collected $25.10 from pot

i'm pretty much just pissed about not making money tonight and wanted to vent. but feel free to comment on my play.

drinking might not be as -ev as you might think. just check out my threads "omg wine" and "auto 200nl?" i think that we might be able to make a killing while drunk because it throws off our opponents due to our wild play.

Your first hand was played fine... imo. It COULD have been played fast, but villian had nothing but Ace high, so giving him a chance to bluff/catch was a good idea...considering the ONLY thing he coulda caught to beat you was a straight.

the 3rd hand...could use some improvement

Rather than just "know" your opponent doesn't have a certain hand...try to ask yourself "When my opponent does this...what has he had in the past? Does he bluff all in every hand? does he only check raise with a set or better?"

If you can get him down to a range...say 10 POSSIBLE hands...if you can beat 7 of them, then feel free to attack. If you can only beat 3 out of 10... then you may want to take a strong look at folding... (unless of course the pot is offering great odds)

Hope this helps...

Greg
