Yea you did. Got lucky at the end though. I'd raise the flop, because if he has a club he isn't getting out. He's a minbetting, half-buying donk who will call you down with the 9 or J of clubs. Flop c/c is alright, but the turn you have to bump it up and then lead the river.
My sig is too much for you to handle.

Lol, normally, yeah. I just wanted to see how much I could get him to like his hand. He'd been folding to my raises fairly consistently, so I thought I might push him off if I check/raised the turn. Instead, when he bet I decided to tank for a little bit and then just call. I paused enough to get the 15 sec warning before checking the river as well. I know I risked him checking it down but he seemed determined...

I like this hand.

Only the J would call here second best. Anything else that hit hard is going to bet hard. Having the A in our hand seriously reduces the range of hands that call us down if we play this fast.

But since we've established the villain is a donk, can't we assume that he isn't thinking about the ?

two broadways call us down, and a lowerflush won't fold when a club hits.
