It is hands like this that make the game of holdem beautiful. The only way it could have been better would be if he had pushed over top of my big reraise. I give him much credit for not getting stacked there.

Enjoy

Um. Not to sound like an asshole, but this was played horribly. Bet the flop. If you think people are going to bet that flop, then checking once is OK. But bet the turn. If you get raised, call. Bet the river too. .5 into a 2.25 pot is weak. You could have stacked him off if you just bet. Fastplaying is the new slowplaying, as they say.
My sig is too much for you to handle.

this hand is pretty ugly actually.

If you take it in terms of just what hands showdown, you basically won the least vrs the nut flush.

I would like to see a turn raise or even betting that flop.

Into a field of 7 players, you can bet this flop becuase flush draws come along and weak 5s get tangled up in the pot.

Had you raised on the turn, you probably win a bigger pot and had you lead the flop, you woulda won a bigger pot.

Smithers, use the amnesia ray.
You mean the revolver, sir?
Precisely.

I don't mind checking the flop, but definitely reraise the turn.

The monster slept in a bit too long - set alarm clock 1 street earlier.

[Edit:] And please bet more than 1/4 the pot on the river.

JD,

bet the flop, bet the turn, bet the river more, and raise the river more. If you do that, I think it's nearly certain that you stack this guy.

we had a post on here the other day about checking the flopped full house on a flushy board. The consensus was it was better to check.
I hate to say i told you so but thsi is exactly why...ESPECIALLY at small stakes.

lol why????

people will chase their draws whether the board is paired or not.

And they will pay off more when they hit.

Oh, and if the draw doesn't hit (most of the time), you don't win anything...
