Bet the flop, with 5 people seeing the flop someone is going to have a straight draw. Slowplaying a set is not something you do vs a lot of opponents.

You give them too much credit. More like someone will have a piece of the board, or a pocket pair they won't fold or play back at you because your button bet looks like a steal. Many of these folks won't give you as much action if you check the flop.

edit: Or Kx which they're just dying to check/raise or slow play. I think a straight draw often bets this flop anyway if they're at all with the program...

The probability of a straight draw being out there has nothing to do with the skill of your opponents. TJ, JQ and QT all have straight draws and with 5 people seeing the flop one of those hands is likely to be out there. Giving a free card is not a good idea.

People betting gutshot straight draws in low level NL ring games? You have got to be kidding me.

If you were out of position, checking would be ok, but you are on the button, throw a reasonable bet out there to keep the pairs in, but knock out the draws.

I agree with arkana, I will always play a set aggressively against a full table. Throw out a bet on the flop to get information, if its big enough you should be able to take down the pot from any drawing hands. The only time I would slow play a set is HU or with 2 opponents and a rainbow board with no connectors.

Taken. I was too worried they'd all fold and I wouldn't get paid off if I bet, I think.
