Villain was running 29/2/2.8 over a small sample of about 30 hands. I just thought he had a wide range of hands here, also he'd put me on a wide range, so decided I was commited so long as no more hearts came. Should I have re-considered on the turn?

i hate middle set on a monotone flop...

ok, villain is calling the min-pfr. Take qq out of his range. Include suited and unsuited aces. His line is strange.
fwiw i put him on AhQx...

pre-flop = fine.
Flop is good.
Turn, if you've already decided to play for stacks on a river brick, then why not push turn? you do have pot odds to call tho - just, but hmmmm...
River you pretty much have to call as played.

the reason i didn't push the turn is because if he did have Ah or anything else, I wanted to give him a chance to bluff/value bet with worse hands on the river. Is that a stupid way to think?

gross. It's super close on the turn, we're about 4:1 to hit, we're getting 3:1 with 1.5:1 implied so calling the turn is OK but you HAVE to fold the river even though the pot odds are very nice you are beat the vast majority of the time.
