First of all let me say, it has been a long time since Ive been back here, I took a long hiatus from poker and have recently come back to be a bonus whore.....

So I am trying to rough up some edges, I knew the small stack was a donk and could have any two cards in this position...however was unsure of the other large stack at the time.....should I be looking to fold here? There where many possibilities that beat me. But I felt I couldnt fold

UTG checks, MP2 bets $0.5, MP3 raises to $2, Hero raises to $5, UTG folds, MP2 raises to $10.6, MP3 calls $8.60, Hero raises to $18.90, MP3 calls $13.30.

Turn: ($43.10) J (3 players)

Final Pot: $43.10
Main Pot: $43.10, between MP2, MP3 and Hero.I will post results after I get a few responses.

Thanks

WTF!

too much in the pot after you raise on the flop to consider folding it imo.

Do you suggest a different way to play it?

It was such an awfully scary board for my set, I was unsure how to procede...

mp2 bets small then minireraises you which looks like the most ridiculous bet ever. I guess he could hold the straight, that makes sense with his bet, but at 25nl ive seen AA flipped over played this way enough.
Id certainly 3 bet here i think, infact i may have just pushed it all in and asked an oesd to call off. If someone flopped a straight 3 ways and its going in then i cant see me folding either.

Calling the flop seems weak becasue if a 4 straight hits we're probably toast or not getting any more money in.

Id probably have just pushed the flop and gambOOled that im good.

Ok, well thanks for the input. Maybe I should have reraised more then the $5?....But I wasnt too upset I got my money in with the best of it...

MP2 had KK, and MP3 had :Qh:, so he did have pretty juicy draws, and might have even been the favorite in some cases so I dont fault his play, I was 60% with the mony going in so I cant complain, I was just seeing it this was a stupid push or not.

Thanks Miffed.

I probably would have popped the raise to more like $6-7 on the flop. 3-way and lots of draws. I'm guessing MP3 has the shit with that cold call after two reraises.

If MP2 is a donk like you say..could have two pair or an over pair. With the raise you made and MP3 calling, if you want to stay in the hand....

...maybe just call and hope for the boat or push if a heart falls. Course that would work better if you were first to act.

I dont think I can just call here, I believe I need to push or get the hell out....am I wrong?

Ya, probably push or fold as played.

I'm weak, so I probably would have folded cause I'd have a tough time putting MP3 on that super sweet draw as opposed to a higher set or made straight with that big cold call.

I take back what I just said.

PUSH! PUSH! PUSH!

If you discount MP2 for a hand...then let's look at it from MP3 perspective.
If MP3 is holding a higher set or a straight does he just call MP2's bet? Not likely.

I wouldn't....as villian I definitely be happy with the pot and just try to take it there or make Hero pay to continue. If I have the straight I'm not letting the hero call for a flush. If I have the set, the straight draw and flush scare me so I am either folding or pushing. His call tells me you are ahead or he's playing dumb.

mp2 has an overpair he likes, his minireraise 4bet or wateav confirms it and we are worried about mp3 who probably has a heart draw (turned out to be a multidraw) pretty standardly played by other layers at these limits so just push as you have the best of it.

What's funny is that even if Hero plays the hand a little better with raise, either way MP3 has the odds to call due to MP2s bet. And MP3 definitely had odds to call after Hero's all-in.

So if hero had raised more and it continued on the same...both Hero and Villian played it great. MP2 messed it up for ya.

Good comments, when I look at it now, I wouldnt have reason to believe that he was holding T9 or 45 or that nature(altough him calling PF with Q9s makes it look like he would =P)

I believe you are definitely looking at MP3 having a drawing hand or a higher set, with a higher set being more unlikely, I think most of the time you will be ahead pushing in this situation.

It was just an odd hand to have in the beginnings of my comeback to poker.....but I'm glad I just about got it right
