I know I'm supposed to lose all my money here, and I did as instructed.
However, I put him on AA when he raised my turn bet. The check was fishy when the ace flopped, especially to be called. If you put the guy on AA, would you lay it down?
I just couldn't see him check-call, check-raising without AA or 99 there.
I guess what I'm asking is to what extent do you trust your reads? And are there hands (like this one) where reads just don't matter?

what's with all the mini-raises ? i'd say to really find out what's going on bet or raise big, none of this messing around ...
there's one hand that beats you and one only, i'd lose my stack on this.

I was trying to get him to call off all his money, instead of just taking down a smaller pot. Not that it would have mattered in this hand...
Next time I'll at least edit it so I look more manly. Jerks.

If you keep min-raising you give the opponent more of an opportunity to fold. If it gets to the point where he's pot commited anyway, he'll go AI and you'll save yourself some button pressing. But if he didn't have AA, he could have simply flat called your reraise on the turn and folfded to your river AI. Since you gave him so many signs of strength.
