Ha. At least you have the cojones to call yourself out. Yes, this is standard. If you're outsetted, nothing you can do. Too often you're up against top pair good kicker or an overpair or a draw for this to be anything but a push.

There's a school of thought that any highly unlucky loss is a bad beat. For my own part, I'm more sympathetic to someone losing set-over-set than the typical "can you believe he called all in with just a straight draw LOL" bullcrap.

True bad beats don't bother me...it's when I had the worst hand the whole time but still think I probably played right that I get the urge to post.

Depends on reads somewhat, but that re-min-raise from him gives me a sick feeling. I'm guessing dollardoc was pretty loose based just on his UTG limp and then call of your raise. If he had a lower overpair to the board, he would usually flat call when you raised him on the flop. Any hand with a 6 (especially suited, e.g. 76s, 86s, K6s, A6s) wouldn't surprise me, and of course 22 is possible. A fold there is tight just looking at the pot odds, but it might be the right play.

 Hands like #2 make me realize how much I hate big pp's in Ring. In SnG, big pocket pairs rule the world. When I switched to ring, I am having a pretty hard time adjusting to folding these a lot more. Sometimes it is just better to let hands go.

In general, if someone is giving me a lot of cutesy resistance (raising me, especially check-raising me, or leading on multiple streets) I slow way down with overpairs. And if the bets get too big I let them go without a second thought. At the lower stakes you can figure that 9 out of 10 opponents, at least, are too dumb and passive to get that silly with hands that you can beat with a single pair. They may bet into you once and may call your raises, but they're not typically check-raising you or three-betting with hands you're ahead of. Remember that and don't pay them off. I wait to have a read (usually at some other sucker's expense) before I will look somebody up in this kind of situation.

If you lost that hand - that's excruciating. Someone had AJ? There's no folding there sadly. FWIW I hardly ever play KJo when there are 7+ players, but if I do it's with a healthy raise in position. From your seat it would be a raise to 3.00, or a fold. It may or may not have still ended up the same in this hand, but keep it in mind.

Rough day my friend. Hands 1 & 3 are shitty but they happen. No way you're folding either of those. Hand 2 I'm out as soon as buddy boy there raises me back. But I have to play nitty with KK-AA as I tend to get too carried away with them. Basically at our levels I take the guy's word for it that he has me beat.
