 Any thoughts on how I played the following hand?

Button ($3.95)
SB ($10.50)
Hero ($4.04)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K, J.
Button calls $0.04, SB raises to $0.2, Hero calls $0.16, Button calls $0.16.

Flop: ($0.60) A, 4, Q (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, Button checks.

Turn: ($0.60) 9 (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.24, Button raises to $0.48, SB folds, Hero calls $0.24.

River: ($1.56) J (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $0.44, Hero calls $4 (All-In), Button calls $3.95 (All-In).

Final Pot: $9.57

Not bad really for 3 handed except for the preflop call. KJ is really a bad hand. But going against big stack 3 handed you can be liberal in your play and hope to play implied odds.

You can't really go through life fearing he's got exactly Ad, the one card that beats you.

Any reads?

Pre-flop is kinda meh, but the river all in CR is just horrible spew. How often does he call this with a worse hand? I'd just bet/fold the river, or if you think he's fos then check/call.

I think this particular villain would have called with any flush/any two pair. I checked with the intention of the all-in cr, I was confident villain would not be checking behind... only one card to be scared of, and a bunch of other hands that would pay me off..
