I got to chatting with villain after calling him down with ace high the hand before. He showed me two pair and complimented me on my call, saying "That board was lying to you". We said some other things that led me to believe he was a thinking player. When the flop came and he called the continuation, I put him square on a bare ace and Rifled the turn.

This is by no means a standard 25NL play. Just goes to show you. Pay attention to chatters. They give stuff away.

Also, notice how I show him he made a bad laydown with a marginal hand. This is what I often do in spots like this to get future bad kicker calldowns. It's very profitable if used right.

It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

Quoted for f**kin truth. Nothing better than when Mr Recreational Play Table Captain comes on and chirps happily about how he doesn't like to pay too much for his draws or never stacks off with a pair.

Well played, I expect him to bet tho so I would prefer going for the check-raise on the turn and flash it in his face without a blink when he folds j/k. Actually, come to think about it, I believe that would upset him a great deal and set you up for some nice check-raise with goods Then on the other hand he might not bet but call down any river and then it wouldn't be that much fun any longer
