 Villain is tight and lays down a few too many hands. Anyone ever try this when they have a few outs on the turn?

Is this a better play in a raised pot (as opposed to a reraised one)?

Yeah, do that at my limits at times too.

Mainly when a flop like that comes and comeone sticks with my c-bet just because they think I have hit air on the flop.

If I have no extra outs then it's possible turn is a check/fold but with backdoor/gutshot flush/straight draws on the turn I don't mind firing again to indicate strength and see where opponents really are. Often times a second shot will weed them out, especially with a scare card like a 3rd straight/flush card. If they still stick then see what the river brings and go from there.

Most likely though the turn bet will be enough to see them gone, or let you know you are beat.

My thoughts on stuff

Your outs aren't that impressive and you're out of position.

 i am actually surprised that he called me with JJ here. He folds that mostly.

Probably takes 3 barrels to get him off a weak over-pair, but meh...

I think a key here is how often he dumps on the flop vs dumps on the turn. He could be really tight on the flop, then tend to follow through with hands that have a lot of showdown value.

I still like the bet, you have fold equity, can laydown to a raise and but otherwise would like to see a river when he just calls.
