vqc: this looks kinda horrible to me. Do you think he wouldve shoved a hand like JJ or TT preflop? I dont think your ever ahead enough here. What gave you the idea that you should call here?
Vqc, I wish I could explain this hand. I just can't. I just knew I was ahead. I make thin calls like this all the time, and I make a lot of money on the spots I choose. I have no idea why. Lol, I seriously can't explain why I make money in spots like this. Here's another one...

Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

Basically, I could care less what my two cards are. I'm all about outplaying people, and then getting payed off by thin hands that are pissed off at me for not letting them show down enough. Of course that's when I have a monster.

You have a better chance of making money from a larger raise then you do from a min raise here IMO. The min raise screams "Your ass is mine, so lets bleed a few more out of you". Raise to $20 or so like you're raising for info and are not liking the K's on the flop.

What are your thoughts here? Most times when the flop, turn and river bets are the same amount, they have a hand, but not a very good one. Are you not raising so that you get to showdown and prove you're a hard one to knock off a hand, or are you reading his weakness as strength? How often do you raise the river to $30, or even shove?

Honestly, I was listening to my instinct tell me 99 was ahead, but afraid to lose my entire stack in case he was boning me. I should have known for sure that 99 was ahead of everything but TT on the river, and launched some value in the middle. I was too busy pissing on the rug however. This is something I need to improve as well.

i understand the whole preflop doesnt matter thing.
BUT:
in the 68s hand the villlian doesnt even have a full stack

if the two of u had a million dolalrs behind then the play is obv ok
if the two of you had 6 dollars behind, then the play is obv bad.
i dont think you have good enough implied odds to be playing 86s oop. but thats just me.

Villain has almost a full stack-- don't mind it for that reason--I just think that's a hand you want to be raising in position and not calling OOP.

Also, Rondavu, is that your player name on Full Tilt?

I don't play hands like 68s OOP too much more than you do to be honest. This is just something I do once in a while to be a loose little bitch. I'm capable of anything at any time, but I sure don't do it all the time. Of course I felt the one time I did was worthy of this thread. In general, I make good smart positional decisions with a touch of WTF did he just showdown.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

Batch 1:

Hand 1: Terrible call, you got way lucky. Not even sure I bet that flop.
Hand 2: Standard
Hand 3: I don't get the turn blocker.
Hand 4: Standard, but I usually don't show.
Hand 5: I feel you, up until you call the flop raise and push the turn.

Batch 2:

Hand 6: I just dump this pre-flop. What's his opener range? I like the smallball bets.
Hand 7: I have trouble getting paid off like this very often in an unjuiced pot. Although I probably should limp along here more often. Then again, limping often induces the blinds to get frisky....
Hand 8: Nice
Hand 9: Call! Pray for a turned Ace or something.

i dont think you have good enough implied odds to be playing 86s oop. but thats just me.
I don't play hands like 68s OOP too much more than you do to be honest. This is just something I do once in a while to be a loose little bitch. I really good lagg will pump you here I know what you're saying. Probably ideal to check-raise against most. I didn't find the villain to be very good at his new lagg hobby however. He was kind of a lagg without deep ballz. I was owning his attempts to own me. Basically, it was cheaper for me to block bet and get a sure read without as much risk, because this lagg would often give up right there without a real hand (basically because he sucked at lagging).
