an overpair is very likely. 40 to .70 pf looks like something big... and this hand history is really, really gay.
and pushing is fucking retarded.

thanks for the advice. The hand history is from bodog. Figured it wasn't the spot. I guess i have another question, if i had a stack of about 5 or 6 could it ever be the right situation to push?

p.s. i'm trying to learn...thats why i posted the hand. You don't need to be a jerk about it.

im not being a jerk about it, you posted a hand history that is hard to read and lacks information needed.
and no that wouldnt be right either. you would be pushing 6 into what 3? a lot of his range is an overpair. a lot of times he will call with AK or AQ considering he is more than likely a 10nl donk. you should have just folded preflop the first time. and if you are going to raise (with something better than this) raise more than 4bb with a limper... probably like 6bb at this level?

Dont bluff in low stakes games. People love to call call call. They play passive. If they play aggressive they have a hand. In order to compete you have to have a hand as well. There are occasional maniacs that just bet/raise every single hand but those are the exception rather than the rule. You do not have to bluff EVER to win at these limits. Learn the basics at these limits, then learn to bluff at higher limits where people can fold hands.

Also in these low limit games a minreraise (from .40 to .70) is the sign of a monster and usually KK/AA sometimes something less but not very often which is why Ez said this looks like a monster from your opponent.

Thanks for the responses guys. I was pretty sure it wasn't right situation to push, but i have been in these positions before and i wasn't sure if laying it down was correct. The reason i didn't thing it was AA/KK was because of the bet size when i checked to him... the board wasn't too drawy.
