I have been running pretty poorly as of late, so I am starting to feel the need to re-evaluate my game. I am about to start an 8+ hour session of 8-10 tabling party poker 2/4 10-max. In this thread, I will be posting all of the big pot hands (won or lost), and any hand that made me think a little. Any hand where I was in kind of a tough spot, I will post in this thread.

i might pot hand 1 on the river. I dont think he has a better ace and the jack kicker will most likely play vs a fish. If he has a queen then lol.
split hand 2 or did opp actually call the turn then check a flush lol.

Hand 1: I'd bet $100 on the river. It looks to me like he has an ace with a worse kicker than you, or maybe A5 that you sucked out on him on the turn.
Hand 2 looks standard.

Disclaimer: I do not play at these stakes so all my opinions could be completely wrong.
hand #1 it looks to me like the second Q scared him. If he had the queen he would probably value bet the river since you already checked, or -re-raise you. I would say he has AK, or A5. I doubt betting anynmore will scare him off since you already showed your fear of those QQ. I think I would make a small bet like you did, and fold to a push
hand #2 standard

At first I didn't like this hand but considering you opened from the c/o and he repopped from the button I'm assuming he has lots of hands besides AA-QQ/AK/AQs here. I think it's a good play but I'm not sure.

Miffed you don't think Renton has enough fe to make this +ev? Not sure of the math but I think it's pretty close either way. Not sure what range to put him on reraising a c/o raise from the button...

anything that hit that flop hard isnt folding to a push. AA/KK/QQ/AK/AQ Its not even close. Hes folding TT(maybe if Th is there opp may gambOOl) and hes folding frisky missed middle pairs say 99/88 and AJ no heart.
IMO he has zero fe here. Id never fold the above hands to his push here.

But I'm sure you know he doesn't have to hit the flop hard to bet or is it very hard for him to bet a hand this hard after Hero calls pf which narrows his range by alot?

hands that missed find this a very hard spot to c-bet considering hero calls the reraise. Renton has to have something as he called the reraise. Also the push rather than raise screams 'plz dont call me'

opp isnt folding the flop, you have zero fold equity, so imo youd better have him beat otherwise gambOOOOOOOOOOl!

with the JJ hand, opp is spewing if he calls without a set vs Rentons pushing range IMO, therefore its probably +EV if the guy can make folds
hands 3 and 4 are kinda gross IMO
If in hand 3 villain is really a nit, he's probably got 99 with that action
In hand 4, if villain is 13/2 it makes little sense to play against his raise let alone reraise him with AK

I dunno, it looks like you have made a few plays without top hands trying to push people off pots. especially with your JJ in that AKQ flop. which probably called.
also how is your image in these games? do opp see being aggr and overthe top frequently? that definitely decreases your FE
in hand 3 did vilian have JJ or AJ?
I liked your fold in hand 4

Something you might want to consider while running bad is dropping the number of tables you're playing and focusing your attention more on the players, the table texture, reads, etc.

agreed. i dont like that hand at all. maybe tone back a bit on hands where you are going all in thinking WITH FE you are ~50%.. i find im usually dominated when im thinking that way.
also i hear 400NL is tough as is.. and being a weekend i get a lot more variance during peak hours due to people not folding.. i get a more steady win rate v nits who fold to cbets..
anyway hang in there i owe you a lot due to your pf/post flop guides. only thing i can add is possibly try and cut down on distractions while playing, or playing only 8 tables so you can see everything going on.. that way you can really focus.. also 1hr sessions are great as well..

For what it's worth, here is my read from when I played 200 full with Renton:
o Plays good hands and plays them very fast, will back-up aggression, gives lots of post-flop action.
o Doesn't play blinds much. You can open light (and not just CO/BN), because he often folds.
o Outside of HuD stuff, poor reader of players
Constrast this with a guy like Lukie who gets out of line less, bluffs just enough to make you wonder, manages pot size, puts you on a hand and will make a laydown.
edit: One other thought. Learn how to induce routine bluffs. Another possible issue here is that you're starting to run into more people who know how to deal with players who pick good starting hands and just POUND POUND POUND.

*Insert disclaimer about not having played in that game*
Hand 1: Standard given the flop line he took.
Hand 2: Standard
Hand 3: The 4-bet is absurd, let worse hands stick it in on the river.
Hand 4: What the hell are you putting him on? I bet the flop and that's probably the last money I put into the pot.
Hand 5: Sure. I might check the flop to see what the donk does and how the other guy reacts. If the nit calls, I can dump it right there.
Hand 6: Check/raise the turn all-in.
Hand 7: I'd pay off the freeroll. Man you must be running bad to post that crap outside of Tales.
Hand 8: Yeah, got to play a big one here.
Hand 9: Sometimes I c/r bomb the turn.
Hand 10: I agree, no fold equity here. I'd just bet out and hope he slow plays if he hit.

Why do you like this line with an overpair and a flush draw on the board?

you would fold top two in a reraised pot? Thats weak/tight considering the preflop action.

Because too many people bet in this spot.
