Hello everyone, first post in FR section (from BC) so quick introduction for those who may not know me and then my hand for analysis/abuse...

I have been playing NLHE for ~1 year, never deposited, grinded a small roll with SNG/MTT and then began focusing on cash. Moved up through 2NL->5NL->10NL->25NL and just recently moved up
to 50NL for a 10 BI shot. I was 90% ROI in micro-stakes SNG/MTT and my micro-cash stats are solid, posted in BC Winners Circle if anybody cares.

I expect to struggle at 50NL but consider myself a true student of the game, this site has been so awesome and has really helped to build up some basic skills, looking forward to continued development and engaging debate!

Now to the hand...

UTG+1 Villain is 24/18/2.2 over 78 hands, 25% ATS, 10% 3Bet, 63% Cbet Flop, seemed to play pretty straight-forward up to this point (small sample). MP1 was unknown (8 hands).

Pre-Flop: Decide to Overcall with KQs, decent starting hand in position

Flop: Hero has flush draw and back door straight draw, decide to call 2/3 Pot c-bet. Villain range includes PP's (77+ probably), Axs/Kxs, straight draws and maybe some broadways

Turn: This is the interesting street. Hero now has FD and gutter SD + 2 overs. Villain checks signalling weakness, no change in range from flop. I struggled with whether I should check and take the free card or make a bet to either take the pot down or set up for a river shove if a club or J hits.

Do we bet the turn here and why?

I decide to bet out for reasons cited above. Villain shoves, put villain on A3s, A10s, 33, 88, 99, 1010, JJ+, QJ/78. I tanked on the Turn call and it was a mistake because I miscalculated needed pot equity in my head (thought it was more like 25%-30%). Don't think it was a huge one if you adjust for a little air, needed 34% equity, stoved it later and came up with ~25%, so EV- meh.

I'm most curious about feedback on the turn bet decision but will accept anything, thanks!!

To answer your question: the turn bet decision is fine.

Now ask me about anything else about the hand.

I would probably fold pre, but turn bet is fine imo.
