i know you will say its a fold pf. i dont believe so...not all the time. for the following reasons:

- its suited
- its connected
- it has high card power, albeit reduced to 3bets
- the implieds on this hand are big after the min3bet
- not to mention the skill and equity advantage i believe i have at this level

all i want to know is, pre flop call aside, was the rest ok given the board and situation (calling bet sizes)? villain was 23/15/3 at the time, and i hadnt seen a 3bet yet, not to mention a min3bet. no realistic read on villain, as i was paying more attention to other fish on other tables. the fish at this table had already acted in this hand. the players behind me were all "rather" tight and had folded to raises, as it was easy to buy the button on this table...hence the main reason to play QTs in the first place.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (8 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

SB ($12.20)
BB ($8.36)
UTG ($6.21)
UTG+1 ($5.45)
Hero ($8.93)
MP2 ($9.31)
CO ($7.08)
Button ($6.30)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with Q, T.
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.2, 1 fold, CO raises to $0.4, 3 folds, Hero calls $0.20.

Flop: ($0.87) T, K, 7 (2 players)
Hero bets $0.6, CO calls $0.60.

Turn: ($2.07) J (2 players)
Hero bets $1.25, CO raises to $2.5, Hero calls $1.25.

River: ($7.07) Q (2 players)
Hero checks, CO checks.

Final Pot: $7.07

care to take a stab at villain's range/hand here??

Without a read, I'd say he has a pocket pair and was hoping you'd fold to his turn raise. Maybe jacks and the Q scared him on the river.

BUT, there's lots of hands that happen at 5nl where I can't figure out what the hell they were thinking, so it could really be anything.

i thought about b/f river, but whats the point in "thin value" when you have no friggin clue where you are in the hand anymore?

his minraise suggests that J helps him, but i cant see how, unless JJ, but would that min3bet?

i wasnt calling crap, unless super small...$1 or under. i just cant see what i beat, even with two pair. after all, any A smokes me, and AXs may min3bet at these stupid stakes.

K J?

That would make sense with his raise on the turn? But you maybe expect more...

Check on the river with the straight out there fearing the check raise by you?

Just my thoughts, hehe im still beginner anyway.

Preflop is ugly yes (I'd personally wait for a better hand) but I guess you played the hand ok on the later streets.

I think the river check behind is decent for villain. Of course the flop and turn are horrible.

Any thought to reraise that minraise on the turn?

yes, but i didnt think i could get a 3bet and a turn raise to fold whatever they had.

i used to "reflex raise" any pussy bet. minbets, minraises, min3bets, whatever. but, they are also people that dont know how to raise properly, but WONT FOLD.

i just thought i'd take my "pot odds" and draw out on his ass. once you get minraised, its often a sign that villain likes his hand...therefore, he isnt likely to fold. in those cases, take your cheap card, and stack them when they come in. dont try and blow them off a hand they are telling you they arent likely to fold.

after all, the minraise often lays outstanding pot odds, plus, it has the implied odds of "i like my hand" behind it to chase some marginal stuff, too.
