This question is mostly for people who like to take flops and risks. I'm basically TAG but I'll open in what I see is the right situation. This I wasn't sure was the right situation but I did see a lot of oppurtunity... So does anyone call here preflop or does anyone have a huge problem with the call? (It was on Bodog so I had to redo the HH some)
It was BoDog so that means two things. One I reworked the HH and it still sucks, and 2 my implied odds seem to be a lot better on BoDog.
dealt to ekillian 3h6h
SitNonDubz Raise $ 3.00 (He has $32.15)
hippa7 Fold $ 0.00
aaronw02 Fold $ 0.00
kwazio Fold $ 0.00
RiverStar Call $ 3.00 (He has $20.60)
L Burna Call $ 3.00 (He has $24.90)
bama80 Fold $ 0.00
ekillian ??? (In the SB) ($44)

Another option is to make it $15 and push on the flop.

Serious or sarcastic? I wouldn't consider that much of an option.

You might pick up $9 or you might lose around $30, with a very slim chance of winning around $30. I don't see how this really makes sense.

Just the play in general. You're risking a lot to win a little.

I look at is as risking a little ($2.75) to win a lot. I would imagine if I do wind up with the best hand, which will happen very rarely, then I will likely get paid off. And if I see nothing I like on the flop I can, likely, get away cheap.

Serious. A raise to $12 or $15 looks more like a AA/KK that wants to play. Also you'll get calls pre-flop who will fold when you stick the rest in as first to act on the flop. Pushing looks more like a steal to a thinking player.

In many of these games I've found the weak/tight nits won't call here without QQ/AK. Some won't even bet the ranch without AA/KK. Consider the suck-out chances and the advertising value and it's not a play without merit.
There are a lot of folks camping the NL tables. Min-raising from EP-MP is taking down the blinds. It's sick and highly exploitable.

The UTG raise doesn't bother you Fnord? It seems like this pot does not look like one that you can try to steal based on all the action. On the other hand it looks to me like a hand where you can get in with a goofy hand and get paid off big.

Oh shit, I misread the post. I thought you were going to push.
You don't have odds to call here out of position.
BTW2, I've seen H@LL make moves like this...

I thought I might have the Implied odds but I wasn't sure. I ended up calling and flopping three of a kind threes (33Q) and I took the stacks of SitNonDubz (AA) and RiverStar (KQ). It worked out this time but I wasn't sure if it would work out often enough...

$1 BB, right? I would want to be calling closer to 5% of the effective stack size here. 10% is too much.

FOLD, 6x the BB protected his hand well. Nice table selection.

yeah, there are situations to take flops with hands like this, but they need to either be HU, or for a very small portion of your stack and 5 or 6 way. I'm never looking to make moves into a 4 way pot, especially at a low stakes table on the fishfest that is bodog.

Oh, sorry. I misread the hand history and thought you actually raised to $44. Forget what I said.
