Yeah, I'd want at least one cold caller in between; then I might chase a set here depending on stacks. As is, it's a fold.

I love short stacks! They give away money and almost never put me to a really tough decision. Then again, I'm probably better at figuring out equity stuff on-the-fly than most NLHE players (who aren't used to showing down and raising with a thin edge) because of my LHE background.

Playing for stacks is probably -EV here, but it really depends on how often he's pulling this. Calling and pushing any blank flop might also be an option (too hard not to c/r if you hit your set.)

If it was tens I would push over the top of him all day.

For what it's worth, I've seriously considered if money deeper than 50bb is +EV for me.

I don't get it. Stacks can't be +EV or -EV, only decisions. Clarify?

I think he's saying (in terms of eV):
50bb >> 100bb >> 200bb

(i.e. deciding to play 50bb will make him more money than deciding to play 100bb, because the strength of his post-flop skills lies in assessing equity.)

The power of the all-in. Certain stack sizes punish you less for gambling with marginal post-flop hands.

If you have a full stack on a shorthanded table and most of your opps have 50% stacks or less, are you sitting in a +EV or -EV situation?
Or maybe I should rephrase:
Is Party Poker 6max +EV or -EV?
