Thats what happens when youve been aggressive for the last hour or so. Same thing with Ace high calling my set down to the river.

Hit Quads 2x today, doubling up for more than my initial short-stacked buyin both times

AA AI on low flop w/ 2 to a suit. Guy calls with fl draw. His A of fl comes , then the other A

45o on the SB. Complete. 475 flop. 4 turn. 4 river. Had two callers, to my flop raise and my river raise (checked the turn hoping someone would bet their straight). Both had middle pocket pairs and missed the board completely.

The best thing about it was that these hands were one after another at the same table. They hated me.
I run a training site...

Check out strategy videos at GrinderSchool.com, from $10 / month.

Ahahahaha. That is great.

I always think it's funny how quads put things in perspective. On the turn, you were probably rejoicing with glee at your luck. "No way I'm losing now." Then the quads complete on the river and you just have to laugh.

I love that.

My favorite quads:

At Foxwods, $1/$2 NL. I'm paying attention to the waitress, someone tells me it's my action. I turn around to see that the player to my left raised to $15 and everyone folded to me. I look down to see AA. I reraise to $40. He calls.

Flop is AAJ.

I start laughing and check. He checks behind.

Laugh and check the turn. He checks behind.

Laugh and check the river. He bets $30. I go all-in. He folds and I show.

(I should have just minraised on the river, but I couldn't believe my hand. I hoped he had JJ.)
