Cryptologic
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.15/$0.25
9 players
Converter
Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is UTG+1 with Qh Qd
UTG folds, Hero raises to $0.77, 3 folds, CO calls, Button raises to $3, SB folds, BB calls, Hero calls, CO folds.
Flop: 8s Td Jc ($9.92, 3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $7, Button raises all-in $29.56, BB folds, Hero folds.
Uncalled bets: $22.56 returned to Button.
Results:
Final pot: $23.92
Villain is a SLAG. Should I treat my QQ as a set catcher OOP because of the pre-flop action? I don't like to call the push because he could easily have KK, AA or even JJ. I think AJ is one the the less likely hands I'm against here.
Do you like the flop bet? Help!

As played, I call the all-in raise. If you put Villain in this range, AA, KK, JJ, AJ+, you are in a coin flip. Instant call all-in bet for me.

WHAT? given the action, how is hero in a coin flip? maybe i suck at odds calcs, but it looks stronger than QQ to me. and for a stack? no way i make this call, even with a decent read.
Joop,
you get RRed pretty big pf. that means a HIGH chance of AK (coin-flip), AA/KK (way behind). however, due to implied odds against AA/KK, i make the call and as you said, "set hunt."
yes, the flop SUCKS for QQ, given the pf action (however, if he CALLED your pfr, then its a decent flop for QQ, as you only worry about Q9s, 99, and sets). i do LIKE THE FLOP BET. it is absolutely essential here. it defines your hand a bit, and puts villain to a "strength test." after the strong raise here, you need to fold. there are not too many villains at 25 NL (especially crypto fr) that can put you on QQ (or less) here because you only called the raise pf, as AA/KK would 3bet all-in. and, yet, still push you AI w/o being worried about 88, TT, JJ hitting their sets, even 99 has a SERIOUS draw. hope that was clear?
the only thing, imo that raises the flop bet is QQ+, an aggressive 99, or a set. not a good situation for you to commit the rest of your stack "just to see." get a better opportunity another time...FOLD.

LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.
Nothing beats flopping quads while dropping a duece!

gg bankroll.
We got squeezed with after raising and getting a caller. I dont want to call this bet unless i have KK/AA and set a preflop trap.
good fold IMO.
