Preflop, call is clearly superior to 3b since his range is already pretty narrow and he isn't going to continue with worse. I'm putting him on {66+, AK, AQ, KQ}

I'm thinking villain leads the flop here with his whole range. A raise is obviously bad since he folds all but the overpairs and sets, of which we beat very little. so I call again.

On the turn, vill leads again. The A here is a great card for vill to barrel. I think that in his spot I'm barreling this turn with my whole range.

we're beat by : {AK, AQ, 99, KK, AA} = 12 + 6 + 3 + 6 + 3 = 30 combos out of a total of 9*6 - 3 + 12 + 6 = 69
we're ahead of more than 50% of his range here.

I don't think he ever bluffs the river given his stats.

thoughts?

Deanglow is on a distinguished road
pretty standard. If he's decent you can shove the river sometimes

I'd raise the turn and check behind on the river as opposed to the turn/river line you took. Anyone disagree?

If you think he's bluffing and betting then why would you bluff back rather than getting him to keep bluffing?

well I've seen some people continue with a flopped overpair on an overcard turn because they expect me to call them lighter (since they know I know it's a scarecard)

not sure if an 8/6 would do that

i'm not sure if an 8/6 playing 50nl knows how to tie his shoes let alone think about barreling a turn card
