This makes up for the AA and QQ and JJ preflop folds I got prior. Why was this guy calling raises? I don't know but I just kept firing - willing to lose my stack if necessary.

But this is a desperation call, not a push.
I think I would have check-called the river, looking for losing the least to an idiot with an A (if he's nice enough to check behind) and gaining the most from a broken flush draw (who might bluff but won't call a river bet). I guess you would lose some value from people who call with any pair like this, though.
