1st time ever i've seen this one. Thoughts?

PartyPoker (Cash Game): $0.10/$0.25 NL , 9 players
Sat Sep 22 23:50:48 VET 2007
(Format: BBCode)

BN (18.5 bb's)
SB (103.4 bb's)
BB (170.1 bb's)
B6 (99 bb's)
B5 (19 bb's)
B4 (145.5 bb's)
Hero (132.2 bb's)
B2 (118.4 bb's)
B1 (17.2 bb's)

BN is the button.

Precards:
SB posts the small blind 0.4 bb's, BB posts the big blind 1 bb.

Preflop: Hero is dealt Qc Qh (9 active)
3 folds, Hero raises to 3.4 bb's, 4 folds, BB calls 2.4 bb's.

Flop: (7.2 bb's, 2 active)
BB checks, Hero bets 6 bb's, BB raises to 16 bb's, Hero calls 10 bb's.

Turn: (39.2 bb's, 2 active)
BB checks, Hero bets 27 bb's, BB raises to 54 bb's, Hero ????.

So, the moment I'm checkraised, I shouldn't bet the next street if villain check again? What is his possible range here, and why should I fold?

imo it's always hard not to get stacked on these boards since there are so many weaker overpairs that are willing to get all-in here. but double c/r is pretty scary. this is a tough hand...

My guess is he has a badly played 55. But, as Martin said, it's hard to fold on these boards.

ps: I hate the whole bb converter thing and the tits on that girl are disgusting though I do like the past ones you've had. Do you have it to auto change everyday or something like that?

No, I just put up a random one, at a random time. You don't like her? I'll change her to a better one.

But he checkraised before the 5 hit too. Would a flop threebet/ push have been a better play?

I'm not a fan of fake boobs and those just didn't look anywhere close to natural on her.

That's why I said a badly played pair of 5s. A flop 3 bet is pretty bad IMO. We're not trying to get him to fold here and there's a good chance somebody could/would fold 44-99 and we want to encourage action from these hands.

after that flop action you're way ahead/way behind. I keep the pot small here, why not check behind on the turn then mash it up when the river queen hits? by the way, any reads? often villains with 170bb stacks aren't too stupid...

i c/r all in on turn simply because opp is probably bad enough to felt TT here.
If he has a 3 then meh, they do sometimes.

ya i don't mind that line at all miffed - well we can't c/r but we can push. to the others saying keep it small cuz it's wa/wb...this is not the type of wa/wb spot where passive = better. that's only for when worse hands auto-fold and weaker overpairs call an aweful lot at this level.

yes, we want to see a showdown
no real reads on villain. he had the big stack since I joined the table.
i haven't shown down anything either.

the first checkraise was about 4bb more than 2x the bet.
the second was exactly a minraise. Maybe its secondbarrel bluff? It just doesn't make sense, giving me potentially a free card, unless he has exactly quads (or a badly played AK. many people at this level believe earnestly that AK unpaired is somehow a made hand, and also don't reraise pf).
I doubt AA/KK. He'd bet bigger pf. My raise wasn't exactly positional.

I guess, on turn

check>bet/fold>bet/call>bet/repop. I should've planned ahead

i'm not committed enough to the turn pot to be thinking about shoving just yet.

I check behind to see a free river. Then I debate playing for stacks on the river depending on opp's action (which I get to see before I act!) I'm not confident enough on this turn to be playing for stacks just yet...

On the flop you need to ask yourself is he bad enough to put 130 BB's into a 7BB pot with a hand worse than mine? If he is then great, get it all in as fast as possible. If he isn't then you need to try to keep the pot small.
Must get more aggressive - Tonight we dine in $25NL! rah rah rah! etc

a radio host here in STL said the other day....."they are real if i can touch them."

words to live by.

and i dont mind pushing over the flop c/r here. you dont want this crazy ass hand carrying on too much farther. he could have A4, overpair, a stupid 3, lots of crap. i would say your are a slight favorite over the party poker donkeys range on the flop. the turn, i think you lost equity by this point. villain is telling you, both by calling your pfr and c/ring the flop, that he wants to go to stacks. if you are going to, why delay?

as played, i strongly consider dropping the turn after the 2nd c/r.
LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.

Nothing beats flopping quads while dropping a duece!
