I'll go with the latter, I'd have to be playing cards up to call that bet with that hand.

Damn thats ugly.

You really need to post what ever read you had with that. It just doesnt make any sense with no read. Did he see your call as weak and try to buy you off...or did he get excited with AK?

Hope you won lol.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

bigspenda73: But how much did you win?

Let me guess, you found a tilty donk who way overplayed his TT-QQ, and you felt like gambooolin' that he didn''t have A7+ instead of a pp...
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

Boy does he ever want you to fold. Nice job doing the opposite.
As stated though, readless this whole hand is just silly.

along with the good old check raise, the limp reraise is one of the most under used and poorly respected moves in poker.
But is this really AA/KK or any ace better than A5.

I personally would do this with any two. But then im guessing opp aint a mad lagg

I am aware of the move, I just didn't know it was ever used to bluff.

Yeah, so the first hand I got shown Q9 offsuit and the second hand i was shown 48 offsuit. Something just didn't add up in either hand.

First hand, I rarely see re-minraises after an SB limps a big pp and BB raises. I typically associate that situation with a ridiculously strong flop check-raise. As per Fnords advice and my own laggy 6max style, when it folds to the SB and he limps, and i hold anything decent in the BB, i raise to 3bb to compound the opponent's error. This situation had occurred several times in the last several orbits so I was pretty sure the SB was putting on a play to counter my aggression while holding garbage. So, I thought and called the flop bet to make it seem like he could get me to fold, and I actually instacalled the push.

Second hand, no real reads here. Something about the flop texture, bet timing and sequence didnt add up so I decided to call down.

The hand today that I'm most proud of I actually lost.
There was a maniac at the table two places to my right who'd been raising every hand 3-4BBs. One place to my right there was a guy who I considered a solid, thinking player. Then I was dealt Ac7c on the button. The maniac minraised to 4, which seemed incredibly weak, so my plan was to reraise to 15. The thinking player actually did this in front of me. So I thought for a minute and concluded that he was doing this with a wide range that probably favored my A7, so I called. flop was Ah8s3s and he open pushed for ~135. This one I thought about for a really long time because I thought he could be doing this with AK/AQ to exploit the maniac's donkiness but I ended up calling and getting sucked out on by Js9s
