My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.

Thats a hard play with no reads....

He could have floped a str8 and is looking for you to make a call thier with a pair thinking he is bluffing, he could be on a flush draw, he could have hit a pair and is looking to protect from the flush draw.

I would call it, seems more like he is trying to protect a pair from a flush or str8 draw.

The limp-call makes 77, 99 or TT altogether possible, and his push means he's hoping you're on AA-JJ. He might limp just about anything, and he's getting 3:1 after your raise and the calls, so 86 (maybe 8h6h) or J8 isn't out of the question. He could push even with T9 if he's put you on an overpair or AK. The only hand you're in front of that might push here is AT.

The two biggest factors for me are his stack size (being new at the table I'd assume he's played well for it unless proven otherwise) and the fact that you have only one pair. Unless you're willing to put him on a bluff or AT, fold. Then again, if it was my hand I'd call because I'm an idiot (read: I always think they're bluffing).

I'm torn on this hand. At this level, players like to push all in on the flop with a flush draw or an OESD, this decision would be significantly easier if you had a read. Also, keep in mind at this level, they don't think on the levels beyond, if they had a straight, the definitely would slowplay it.

at this level this guy is what I refer to as one of the smarter guys. He way overbets all his nut hands and hopes to get really bad calls. easy fold.

Maybe our line of thinking is just different, but I wouldn't make an absolutely horrid call simply because of the level. Ever think of the reason why (partly) these levels are so easy to beat? If I've seen somebody massively overbet the pot on a draw or what not, then the discussion gets opened up.

Here is how I think of similar situations. All (most?) poker players think they are good players. In reality, most are losing players. The few that admit that generally blame it on not getting cards, or getting sucked out on.. basically the same thing if you think about it.

That said, anybody playing online poker probably has a serious interest in it.. perhaps they are a good player at their home game. You have to at least give them credit for at least a moderate understanding of the game, regardless of how bad you think they are. Calling a massive overbet on an action flop with a weak overpair would put you in the same crowd as them, I think. If you have a read that suggests you may be good here, then that MIGHT change things. Otherwise, I play the flop like I had 25o.
