CO ($6.93)
Button ($18.19)
Hero ($8.69)
BB ($8.48)
UTG ($9.30)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 3, 3.
UTG raises to $0.1, 3 folds, Button calls $0.10, Hero calls $0.08, BB calls $0.05.

Flop: ($0.40) 5, 3, 7 (4 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $0.15, UTG calls $0.15, Button calls $0.15, Hero calls $0.15.

Turn: ($1) 9 (4 players)

why no agressive move on the flop with 3 straight cards out in a 4-way pot? Lead strong or c/r big imo.

as played, i like a big 3-bet on this turn, push any river. Probably try to line it up so there's a pot-sized bet left on the river for you to fire.

I think this is a philosophy you need to get away from. It is a very common attitude on FTR, and one that took me a long time to get away from.

To be more clear, I'm not necessarily talking about this hand (even though I do think I just lead here), and I often check hands to the preflop raiser, but I'm also capable of leading into the preflop raiser with a wide range if the situation warrants it.

In my opinion and in general, I think people focus too much on snapping off a small continuation bet and not enough on disguising the strength of your hand (c/r is so transparent), playing massive pots, getting money in fast with the best of it, and picking up smallish pots when the flop is likely to have missed everybody. jmho of course...

Thanks, Lukie.

So, you're saying to just lead out with a usual 2/3 to 3/4 pot sized bet? If he raises back on the flop, do you push it all in? As it was, I pushed on the turn.

Good, it looks like I wasn't being hardheaded about this. He had 6h4h for the flopped straight, I didn't fill on the river, and got stacked. Hands like this have gotten me to the point that I am getting tentative pushing the few small edges I have.

Time to take a break and read more/wait for the next decent reload offer to come through.
