Is there a point where I should have folded this? This was about his second hand since he joined the table so I had no read. Should I have considered that he had the nut straight and folded?

RVP doesn't record stack sizes but I think I had approx. $11

I assume he's QKA23 and he had JK.

On the flop you have top pair, good kicker and a gutshot straight draw. I'd re-raise him to $1 to find out where you stand.

Other than that, I don't think you can get away from this. The turn is the only place you can ditch this hand.

Oh yea, sorry, I'm QKA23 on 6.

'rilla I know what your saying, i've heard people saying this before but I've stopped PFRing with stuff like KJ and QJ at my lower limits because
1) I still get loads of callers up to 5 or 6 bb
2) I find that if I continuation rep my strength on the flop I always get calling chasers

I think its better to limp and flop TPGK or better, people wont respect strenght repping bets. They all have a "Lets see if hes bluffing" mindset.

Though in saying that a $1 bet on the flop could have knocked him off his OESD. Its hard to know, I need a bit of work on my reads.

Thats why I moved to 25$ NL.

Still lots of fish, but less people chase because "it's only .25 or .50"

Becuase you're facing a raise. If a king or jack hits the flop, you can't be sure of your hand.

Either re-raise a good amount (2-3 x his raise) or fold. The re-raise will either take down the pot right there which is good, or if called it could set up a take down on the flop if it's checked/bet weakly. If you get re-raised preflop, then ditch the hand, move on.

Pulling the re-raise can have more profit, if you can be savvy postflop. I'd lean towards just folding though.
