Not sure what the question is here. If you lost to quad 8's or 8's full (or much worse, badly-played queens), STBY but I'd think there's no getting away from this hand. The only indication you might have that Jarlaxle133 has pocket 8's would be if he raised the flop. Sayernaes probably picked up a flush draw and was trying to take it down on the flop. I'm assuming you didn't post this hand because you won it.

You know, looking at it again, there's no reason to think that either of these guys doesn't have 67, maybe that's what Sayernaes had on the flop.
TylerK: its just gambling if i want to worry about money i'll go to work lol

If in makes you feel any better: $100 MTT. I'm on avarage stack T2200 in SB w/ 55.

One min raise from short stack in EP and a call from LP. I call.
FLOP 5JJ
I check. EP goes AI w/ his short stack. LP calls, I call.
Turn is K
I bet LP goes AI, I'm committed to pot w/ FH so I call.

Both EP and LP show KJ for better FH.
Send lawyers, guns and money - the sh*t has hit the fan!

seyernaes shows :Ks:
seyernaes has :Ks::Qd: a pair of eights.

Hand #4130832-789 Summary:

$2.35 is raked from a total pot of $48.30.
$1.45 is raked from the main pot of $29.90.
$.90 is raked from side pot #1 of $18.40.
Kardinal wins the main pot $28.45 with full house, fives full of eights.
Kardinal wins the side pot $17.50 with full house, fives full of eights.

You´ve gotta love the guy going all-in on flop with a gut shot straight draw. And the one who thinks TPMK T/8 is a monster and is really convinced he´s a winner when the third 8 hits.

Maybe this thread belongs to another forum, as I more wanted to show the hand than get it analyzed. But hey - it is hand history, right?

Actually, seyernaes also had a King high flush draw on the flop. That triples his outs with two cards to come (compared to just a gutshot draw). Not always a good play (especially since he's not drawing to the nuts either way), but a lot of times he may get everyone else to fold with that agressive play. Nice to see that your hand held up though.
