Wrong forum.

Much much too early to go allin with AX on such a scary board. I fold preflop, but if I somehow manage to find myself in this hand postflop I check/fold without thinking much about it.

fold preflop
don't push all in, only a better hand is calling

at only the 2nd level of a tournament, don't be willing to risk your whole stack with A7h... you'll be out more often than not. Play the beggining of tournaments as if you are just trying to stay alive, because it's a game of survival! This means to play really really tight, only enter a pot if in the blinds or you are raising or are limping multi way pots in LP.

SURVIVAL!!!!!

When I find myself in your situation, and it's early in a tournament, and I have decided (against reason) to play Axs, I try to remind myself I am playing ONLY for a flush. No chance of a flush after the flop, I'm done and figure I had just used one of my "3-4 chance hands" while still in the lower blinds.

I agree to fold pre-flop, but if you are playing for a chance at a cheap flush then you definately let it go on the flop.

you guys don't like to see a cheap flop for a flush? This could be one of my leaks here? why not? Do you ever play Axs?

Yeah I do it ... i.e. play Axs ... but I tend to "budget" my flier calls early on in a tournament. And I only do it if there are multiple limpers ahead and I am in late MP or better. Once the flop comes, no flush oppty, then fold.

I'll play that hand in LP with 3 or more callers, reason being it doesn't hold up to a raise behind you, which is what happened. You ended up taking it down, but that doesn't make it a correct this early in the game IMO. At least you won the pot though, that was cool.
