I posted this on a different thread but no-one commented. Please imagine you're me and comment on what he might have and whether I played each street correctly. No read other than that he was a solid player who had taken no big risks in the 30 or so hands since I joined the table, which is why I felt the minraise pre-flop didn't mean much.

(sorry, none of the sodding converters are working!)

Id bet more on the flop normally since i wanna play air and a made hand the same. However, if you were looking to play weak and try to price him in flop is alright.

Smithers, use the amnesia ray.
You mean the revolver, sir?
Precisely.

The idea was to rep a weak-looking continuation bet, as if, say, I had Axs.

Pot is $15 on flop. If you make it $10-12 and he min raises you can put it to $45-50 and make your turn push tastier looking for him.

The prob with your line is pot is $85 on the turn and you only have $50 behind which leaves pushing as your only option and possibly leaves him an easier fold.

well hes made it obvious he can beat a one pair hand if he assumes we have AK with the preflop reraise.

Miffed is on the money. He had QJ.

So, looking back at this hand and trying VERY hard not to be influenced by results: What better-than-TP hands does he have that I still beat? KT? AA? My re-raise pre-flop signals something strong; maybe my "weak" flop bet gives AK or KQ, KJ the encouragement to raise me.

But assuming he's playing it straight, I am in trouble. Unless he's happy to minraise with a gutshot, he doesn't have a draw (unless he's already made his straight) unless he is playing boldly with 87. Maybe KQ - TP + gutshot draw? Seems unlikely.

So, this leaves TT, KK and QJ. All of these hands beat me and I'm drawing effectively dead. Maybe on a board like this, gettting it all in against visible strength with bottom set isn't a good idea?
